Seafood - Entree

Cajun Seafood Boil. Definitely a lot of room to improvise and add or remove ingredients. Homemade seasoning and butter sauce.

INGREDIENTES

Un poquito de esto, y un tantito de aquello

Steps

1... 2..

1.

Rinse shrimp and crab legs with water. Remove shrimp mustache and legs if needed. Drain and set aside once water runs clear.

2.

Combine all spices/herbs in a bowl to make Seasoning. Stir to mix well and set aside.

3.

Fill a large stockpot approximately half way with water and bring to a boil. Rinse and cut lemons into halves. Add lemon halves and cleaned potatoes. Lower pot to simmer.

4.

Let potatoes cook for approx 10 minutes. Clean and cut whole ears of corn into 2-3 inch pieces. Add Corn to pot, continuously checking potatoes with a fork. Potatoes will start to get soft as they cook.

5.

Slice sausage at an angle into little pieces. Add sausage, crab legs and shrimp to pot until shrimp turn red or cooked through about 5 minutes.

6.

Drain the seafood and corn/potatoes/sausage. Discard water and lemon, set aside.

7.

When seafood is almost done cooking, place a big skillet over medium heat, add butter and minced garlic. Saute garlic for a minute, don't brown. Add seasoning mix from earlier followed by Louisiana hot sauce. Stir to mix the spicy butter. Turn off heat.

8.

Transfer the seafood, corn, potatoes, and sausage into the spicy sauce. Stir to combine well and serve immediately.
